It’s NASCAR race day at ISM Raceway, and we've got everything you need to know to get ready for Sunday's TicketGuardian 500 in Avondale, Ariz.
START TIME: CEO of TicketGuardian Bryan Derbyshire, along with wife Kristen and son Hudson, will instruct drivers to start their engines at 3:37 p.m. ET, followed by the green flag at 3:44 p.m. ET.
RACE DISTANCE: The TicketGuardian 500 is 500 kilometers — not miles. That's 312 laps around the 1-mile ISM Raceway for a total of 312 miles.
RACE STAGES: After a successful run last season, NASCAR will once again be dividing races into stages and handing out points. Here are the segments for today's race: Stage 1: 75 laps, Stage 2: 75 laps, Stage 3: 162 laps.
NATIONAL ANTHEM: Country soul singer Keisha Renee, a finalist from Season 13 of NBC’s The Voice, will perform the national anthem at 3:31 p.m. ET, followed by a flyover by two F-35s from the 61st Fighter Squadron of Luke Air Force Base.
ISM RACEWAY: Phoenix on track to shake up racing come fall
TV/RADIO SCHEDULE: Fox will broadcast the race and has a pre-race show beginning at 3 p.m. ET. The Motor Racing Network and Sirius/XM NASCAR Radio will call the event on the radio.
